Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak (Nintendo Switch version)
The current status and fixes for the errors causing the game to crash

This is an update on the status and fixes for this issue.

Status Update

We have looked into the issue and concluded that it was caused by two errors.

Error 1
An error causing the message "The Software Was Closed Because An Error Occurred" to display and the game to crash, which may occur when saving or loading while having save data which has grown too large in size.

Error 2
An error with save data sizes growing too large when the player has set augmented armor to the "Vaunted Qurious Crafter" part of their Guild Card.

We have also identified cases where Error 1 affects the player's save data.
If you have contacted us about this issue and you are experiencing problems with your save data,we will look into whether your save data can be restored, and we will provide replacement save data if required.

These errors will be addressed across two separate updates, as detailed below.

Ver.12.0.0: September 29
This will fix Error 1 and prevent this particular error from affecting your save data.

Ver.12.0.1: October (date TBC)
This will fix Error 2.

To players experiencing Error 2

Until Error 2 is fixed in Ver.12.0.1, please keep using the following prevention method.

If you have ever set augmented armor to the "Vaunted Qurious Crafter" page of your Guild Card, please set armor that has no augments under the Augmentation Status.*

*i.e. armor where augmentation is enabled, but no augments have been made.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

*There is no correlation between this issue and the separate matter of unauthorized mods. We have not identified any save data issues resulting from possessing modded quest data.
